The terms of the vigil — written plainly, as this place deserves.
What this place is
- Black Pearls is a place of remembrance and prayer under the patronage of Our Lady of Sorrows. You may post remembrances of the beloved dead, lay prayers and poetry on the Wall of Sorrows, light candles, pledge and pray rosaries, and keep a private journal, examen, circles, and novenas.
Your content
- What you write remains yours. By posting public content you give us permission to display it here. All public posts are read by a human moderator before they appear — we may decline or remove content that does not belong in a place of prayer.
- Only post a photograph or name of a deceased person you have the right to honor publicly — family photographs belong to the family.
Donations and premium
- Donations are freewill gifts processed by Stripe — they keep the candles burning and are not required for any prayer. They are gifts, not purchases, and may not be tax-deductible.
- Premium subscriptions renew until you cancel — manage or cancel anytime from Settings → Manage billing. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the paid period.
- If a payment was taken in error, contact us and we will make it right.
Fair use
- Do not post content that is hateful, fraudulent, or unlawful. Do not impersonate another person or claim another's grief. We may suspend accounts that misuse the vigil.
The fine print
- The service is offered as it is. We do our best to keep it faithful and available, but cannot warrant it will be uninterrupted. Nothing here is spiritual direction, legal, or medical advice.
