1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Black Pearls Operator ("Operator," "we") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the Black Pearls Service.
It supplements the Privacy Policy and is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.
2. What we use
Strictly necessary: session and authentication tokens (including Clerk-managed sessions), CSRF or security cookies, and load-balancer affinity where deployed.
Functional: UI preferences (theme, dismissed banners, layout state) stored in local storage or session storage; short-lived session keys when optional product usage milestones are enabled to avoid duplicate event counts.
Analytics (if enabled): first-party or privacy-oriented analytics only when configured by the Operator. The Service does not use third-party advertising networks. When the Operator enables optional usage milestones, the Service may emit coarse first-party events without advertising cookies and without storing email addresses or user identifiers in those event logs.
3. Third-party identity and payments
Clerk (authentication) and Stripe (checkout) may set their own cookies when you sign in or complete billing flows. Their use is governed by their respective policies.
We do not use cookies to sell personal information or for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CPRA.
4. Your choices
You may block or delete cookies via browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or secure use of the Service.
Where EU/UK law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will present a consent mechanism before placing such cookies.
5. Changes
We may update this Policy when our technology stack changes. The effective date on the legal hub reflects the latest revision.
